Miriam Cohen, Director

Miriam is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, Lakehead University. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, LL.B., from Université de Montréal, Masters of Laws, LL.M., from Harvard Law School, the University of Cambridge and Université de Montréal, and she is a Doctoral candidate at Leiden University. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2009. Before transferring into academia, Miriam had a successful career in international organizations in legal advisory roles where she pursued in depth research of human rights and international and comparative law.  She has a keen interest in the rights of children and how their well-being impacts a meaningful future for society.
